    Hi,
    To become an IPS officer, you need to sit for UPSC exam.
    UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
    * To be eligible :
    - You need to pass graduation in any field from any recognized university.
    - You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation.
    - Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
    - You must be an Indian citizen.
    * To prepare for the exam, the preparation requires the right approach along with the right study materials and strategy.

    Hi,
    UPSC conducts civil services examination every year in the month of May and June and its main exam is in the month of December. The notification for this exam comes out in the month of January end.
    Eligibility Criteria :
    - You need to pass graduation in any field from any recognized university. You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation.
    - Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
    - You must be an Indian citizen.
    Preparation :
    1) You may refer to guide books such as :
    General Studies Manual
    Indian Politics by Lakshmikanth
