How to calculate percentage of marks of the best of 5 subjects?

As per the common criteria, the best of five subjects include one language subject, i.e. English (or, the one as per the school/exam board), and 4 other subjects in which the student has obtained the highest marks. The marks obtained in subjects other than these are not considered for the “best of five” or the main percentage.
The percentage of the best of five can be calculated by dividing the total marks obtained in the best of five subjects divided by the total marks for these subjects and multiplying these marks by 100.
