How to choose UG programme and college if aiming for UPSC?

Hi Prachi,
The UPSC mandates that the candidate be at least a graduate to be eligible for the UPSC exam. You must hold a Bachelor's degree from any recognised university. Even those candidates with professional/technical qualifications equivalent to professional/technical degrees (government recognised) are also eligible to take the IAS exam.
The UPSC does not specify any subject that you must have taken in the graduation level for eligibility. You can pursue graduation in any field as per your choice.
