How to crack CAT exam? I'm a beginner.

Hello Ram, Aspirants who have not studied anything till date are left with very limited time but trust me if you prepare with a complete plan that I’ll be sharing below then you can make optimum use of your time and that plan will definitely help you to crack CAT 2019. Before you start your preparation, the first and foremost thing to be done is to go through the syllabus deeply and analyze exam pattern once. This will give you better understanding about the CAT and then you can formulate your strategy to succeed. Before proceeding further, you must also know that the syllabus is divided into three sections, namely: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning Quantitative Ability Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension Step 1: Most of the CAT chapters are chosen from your high school syllabus (class 8910), therefore it would not bother you much. Revise them properly because this is the part that you have learned in your academics and with little efforts, you can attain excellence in it. Thus, is the most important part of your preparation? Once you have cleared all of your concepts, you can do well in CAT. One success mantra is you don't need to be good in each of the topics. It means in each of the section you need to attempt certain number of questions accurately for 99+ percentile. Step 2: CAT relevant reading like daily newspaper. Personally Ill suggest you two newspapers (The Hindu, Economic Times), a magazine (The Economistic. ), or any random articles on philosophy and psychology from Wikipedia. You can also follow management blogs and read articles or novels that complement your interest, this will nourish your reading habit and helps building higher speed for answering comprehension in CAT. Step 3: Buy some mock test series. Once you are done with polishing your concepts and clearing all of your doubts, it’s time to practice those questions with time. Initially you can start with offline practice but don't make a habit of it. The more you practice with time more your speed will increase and make accuracy as your USP, which makes you distinctive! Don't forget to analyze your mocks. Analysis of mocks will help you point out your weaker sections and the areas where you do silly mistakes.
