The common subjects offered under the M.Tech course at ZHCET  differ on the basis of the specialisation candidates have chosen and includes both core and elective subjects along with project work in the last semester. As per the official AMU, the after 10th Diploma in Civil Engineering is only available for the male students. To be eligible for the cousre candidates must have a completed Secondary School Certificate of this University or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% aggregate of English, Maths and Science as three subjects of equal weightage. Further,  the candidate should have passed English, Maths and Science individually at the qualifying examination.

The qualification required for After 10th Diploma at Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology is as follows:

• Secondary School Certificate of this University or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% aggregate of English, Maths and Science as three subjects of equal weightage. Further,  the candidate should have passed English, Maths and Science individually at the qualifying examination.
• A higher examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects, with not less than 45% aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths of equal weightage.
