The percentage of an amount can be drawn by applying the following formula: (Actual (Given) Value/Total Value) x 100
Hence, suppose, you want to calculate the percentage of marks of a student who has scored 332 out of a total of 500 marks then, applying the percentage formula given above we get:
Actual Value/Total Value) x 100 = 332/500 x 100
= 66.4% marks
