    To get a seat in BIT Sindri for B.Tech. in Information Technology, students must appear for the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) conducted by the JCECE Board. Alternatively, Diploma holders in engineering and technology can also apply for lateral entry in the 3rd semester through a separate competitive examination, with 10% of the normal seats reserved for them.
