    To get a seat in Haldia Institute of Technology for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, candidates should have 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, Biotechnology, or relevant subject from a recognised Board. The selection criteria are based on WBJEE / JEE (Main) scores. For lateral entry, a Diploma in engineering is required, and the selection is based on JELET scores. The institute offers 120 seats for the 4-year B.Tech. programme and 18 seats for the 2-year M.Tech. program.
