To get a seat in Tezpur University for B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, candidates must qualify in the JEE (Main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). For the Northeast Quota, 60% of the seats are reserved for permanent residents of Northeastern states, and admission is done through counseling conducted by the B.Tech Screening and Selection Committee (BSSC) of the School of Engineering, Tezpur University.
