How to get admission for Dairy Science Diploma?

Details about the course : It is a 12th level Diploma Dairy Technology and Management course. In this course, the main emphasis is given on the developmental competencies in procurement of milk, production of value added products, quality control aspects and fluid milk processing in dairy plants. To encourage self employment in dairy processing activities, the course imparts development of skills for entrepreneurship. This Diploma course has one year duration. As far as the minimum time is concerned, it is one year and the maximum time to complete this Diploma programme is four years. Eligibility Criteria : 1)The basic qualification for pursuing Diploma Dairy Technology course is a pass in 10+2 or Higher Secondary Examination from a recognised college or university. 2)Students who want to pursue this Diploma programme from IGNOU can enroll themselves simultaneously in B. P. P and Diploma programme. The minimum duration of Diploma Dairy Technology course is 1 year and the maximum duration is 4 years.

DDT : Diploma IN DAIRY TECHNOLOGY This programme has been developed with the support of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, government. Of India. The Diploma in Dairy Technology aims to develop competent technician level human resource for dairy industry. Upgrading the technical proficiency of lower level workers/ technicians already working in the dairy and allied sectors is also intended. The focus is to develop competencies in procurement of milk, fluid milk processing, production of value added products and quality control aspects in dairy industry. It also imports development of skills for entrepreneurship to encourage self employment in dairy processing activities. The knowledge imparted shall facilitate good manufacturing practices in the processing sector and hygiene. The quality milk and milk products produced will have good market and export potential. The target group includes: youth, workers/ technicians working in dairy industry; dairy and food processors in unorganized sector; personnel working in dairy cooperatives, state dairy departments and dairy Science institutions; small and medium entrepreneurs; NGO functionaries/ trainers and dairy farmers.
