To get into the top engineering colleges one need to have a good knowledge of the fundamentals of the PCM subjects. Do not try to learn things-by-heart. Try to understand the fundamentals and the logic behind them so that you can solve similar problems with speed. Practice solving the problems more & more. -

To get admission for engineering in IITs, you have to qualify JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exam. To qualify these exams you have to make perfect your basics. These exams are complete mind games if you are perfect in fundamentals basics of concepts then you can easily crack them.
To apply for them, you need to score at least 75% marks in class 12th or the top 20 percentiles in the boards to get admission in IITs.
