Hi,
1) To take admission in Merchant Navy, you need to pass 12th in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) with 1 year pre-sea training as a deck cadet.
You can also join it directly after B.Tech in marine engineering, mechanical, electrical, electronics & telecommunication, naval architect.

Admission to Marine Engineering courses in India are generally done through several entrance examinations conducted between the months of April and June.

Please note that the eligibility criteria laid down by the directorate includes min. 60% in Physics Chemistry Maths at 10

As far as i know it is ok if it is correctable. and it is permitted upto 2.5 with tolerance of 10 %
