How to get admission in PhD?

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Ph.D. Admission Process: Ph.D. Admission is based on enrollment to several universities. Universities accept the results of either national level or university level entrance exams. Top Ph.D. entrance exams are CSIR UGC NET UGC NET IIT JAM and NPAT. If a candidate wishes to pursue Ph.D. in Engineering and Technology then they must possess a valid GATE score. As per the recent directives of the UGC, students who complete a four-year UG degree would be able to directly apply for pursuing a Ph.D. degree in their desired choice of course. Ph.D. Eligibility: Masters degree holders are eligible for admission to doctoral programs. For some subjects, Masters in Philosophy is needed for pursuing Ph.D. The students should have at least 50-55% of marks post graduation. In some universities admission is offered on the basis of interviews. It may be supplemented with a written exam. More preference is given to candidates who have work experience in the field of research. Hope it helps.

Dear Sonam, B.Tech is a graduation, you have to complete Master or post-Graduation level and then M.Phil is also a step, For Ph.D in any stream you have to pass all the steps, you can't apply by doing Graduation. FYI more details: Admission eligibility: A candidate is eligible for Admission and Registration for Ph.D programme provided he/ she has qualified: Master’s Degree of any recognized University/other qualification in a relevant field. The minimum qualifying marks are 55% at Post Graduation level (Relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Differently-Able and other categories) Then, in the Entrance Examination conducted by the University at the national level on the pattern of UGC followed by interview.

Hello, It is better to prepare for NET exam to pursue career in research. There are two exams conducted. CSIR NET and UGC NET for the candidates, who want to pursue research fellowship or professorship. CSIR NET is only for science students and other students (Arts and Commerce) can apply for UGC NET. Both the exams are conducted for same purpose.
