Hello,
It is better to prepare for NET exam to pursue career in research. There are two exams conducted. CSIR NET and UGC NET for the candidates, who want to pursue research fellowship or professorship.
CSIR NET is only for science students and other students (Arts and Commerce) can apply for UGC NET. Both the exams are conducted for same purpose.
