To get admission to M.Sc. in Applied Geology at NIT Rourkela, a student must have passed B.Tech or B.Sc. with Geology as one of the main subjects and Mathematics at +2 level, with 50% marks or 5.5/10 CGPA in aggregate covering all subjects. Admission will be made through JAM or any other national-level test. If not possible, admission will be made through an open selection process where students need to apply in Form AC/201, and evaluation will be based on either a test plus career marks or career marks only.
