How to get an excellent project for final year of M.Tech. in CAD/CAM.

I am going to pursue M.Tech. in CAD/CAM from IIITDMJ so, I want to know how to get internship for a decent 'final year project'? So that I can prepare for it from now itself. And what are the additional options to know the real time project topics from the companies like 3D PLM , Automobiles etc. .
