The admission to under graduate level courses in B.E./B.Tech in the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College is done in two modes, that is one the basis of WBJEE-West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination and JEE Mains. The eligibility conditions for candidates are that one must pass Class 12 with minimum 45 percent aggregate marks (for reserved candidates 40%) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, at postgraduate or M.Tech level candidate must hold a relevant qualification in B.E./B.Tech and be qualified in the GATE exam.
