1. UG Admission at St Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering :
Be the First Year
Being a minority institute, the institute is eligible to fill up to 50% of seats as management quota of the total intake for each UG programme through Anna University Tirunelveli Self-financing Engineering Colleges Management Association. The remaining 50% of the total seats will be filled through single-window counselling by the Tamil Nadu government.
In addition to the management seat, the institute can fill up 5% of the total approved intake under the fee waiver scheme if all counselling seats get filled up for the respective program. Those beneficiary students will be selected from those candidates
registered for counselling whose parents earn less than Rs. 6 Lakhs per annum.
Eligibility:
According to DOTE All students who have passed higher secondary or its equivalent with mathematics, physics and chemistry as subjects with 45% ( 40% for reserved category) in the final higher secondary public examination are eligible for studying B.E. and B.Tech.
2. PG Admission at St Xavier's Catholic College of Engineering :
As per the order of the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai, the minority institutes can fill up to 70% of seats of the total intake for each PG programme through Tirunelveli self-financing consortium on a merit basis. The remaining 30% of the total seats will be filled through single-window counselling by the government.
Master of Business Administration
Candidates with a pass in recognised Bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration and with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) shall be eligible for first year admission.
Master of Engineering
A pass in recognised Bachelor degree in BE or equivalent in the relevant field and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories) in the qualifying degree examinations.
Master of Computer Applications
Candidates with a pass with prescribed minimum eligibility norms in any recognized Bachelor degree of minimum 3 years duration with mathematics as one of the subjects in +2 or degree with 10+2+3 pattern shall be eligible for first-year
admission.
However, it is up to the management to decide the percentage of seats surrendered for counselling year by year.
Those seeking admission in Masters programs should have passed TANCET/GATE to be eligible for admission through counselling and as for the admission in management quota, they should have passed the examination conducted
by the relevant consortium. Thanks.
