How to improve my carrier?

I am a B.Com (H) from C.U, 'A' level from DOEACC. Working on contract as a system admin in J.U for 4.5 yrs. I am 30yrs old. What should I do to improve my carrier? Should I go for higher education or some global certification? Which one will improve my value in job market?
