  • NIT Durgapur admissions are primarily entrance-based. Candidates need to first apply online for the course of their choice. They need to register for the entrance exam required for admission to the specific course. Once completed, the candidates need to appear for the entrance exam. JEE Main is required for BTech, GATE for M.Tech and IIT JAM for MSc admission. For MBA, aspirants need to appear for national-level Management entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, etc. Once done, counselling is held for each programme and seats are alloted.

    In order to join NIT Durgapur you need to qualify ann entrance exam and participate in a counselling process, primarily for undergraduate (B.Tech) programs.

    •  The first step is to appear for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
    • If you are aiming for a B.Tech programme at NIT Durgapur, you'll have to qualify in JEE Mains and then appear for JEE Advanced, this is an another entrance exam specifically for admission to NITs, IITs, and some other premier institutions.
