How to make a career as a Software Engineer?

I am an average student interested only in computers. No interest in science/maths. Aim- Computer software engineer. What do I do?

    Hi Shivam, Season Greetings!
    In addition to what Ms.Manmeet said, to be an effective Software Engineer you must look at your passion. How good are you in computers, these days every other person is a Software Engineer but hardly handful of them are good in their field.
    So, if you have the real hunger for logic and can spend stupendous hours on computers and work hard on the programs. I would recommend you follow this stream.
    There are umpteen number new advanced courses with high success rate. Remember the key is you PASSION.

    Hi,
    To become a Software engineer, you need to study Science and Maths.
    You may opt for courses such as :
    • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science / Information Technology
    • Bachelor of Science (hons.) in Software Engineering
    • Master of Computer Applications
    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
    • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
    Apart from these courses, you can also take up some specialized courses in institutions such as NIIT, Aptech etc.

    -Take advanced math courses, such as calculus, as well as any computer courses your high school may offer.
    -Familiarize yourself with computer word processing programs, internet search engines and computer games. This will help you gain a basic understanding of what software engineers do.
    -Earn a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems or software engineering. Although some people manage to land jobs as software engineers without a bachelor's degree in a computer-related area, these people are few and far between.
