How to make career in journalism in electronic media?

Anwesh, you can either take the skill route or the concept route. The skill route leads to advertising, films, animation whereas the concept route leads to story, screenplay, ideas and articles. There are the fields of Vision and Design. Vision requires an ability to absorb knowledge and find new perspectives. Then the perspectives must be presented either as a Story or as a Commentary/ Documentary. This can also be translated into a New Product, a New Game, a Live Film, an Animation, or a New Graphic/ Illustration. Design is a field that is age old and has been evolving every year like science. Sometimes student Artists are too much enamoured by Fine Arts preventing them to look objectively at Design. For e.g. science students do better if they go for CS or IT since that are areas where development is taking place rapidly. Similarly in Design the cutting edge areas are UID/ UXD, 3D Printing, Immersive Technology, Augmented Reality, 3D Projection etc, besides of course Game Design &amp; Animation. Of course at the top of the pile lies Concept Designing (usually reserved for writers and visionaries) - these people are required by Event Companies, Animation Studios, VFX Studios, &amp; of course Game Studios. Great career choice buddy! It’s a creative profession and yet have the best of the corporate life. There are several universities/Institute that are offering UG programs in Journalism and Mass Communication.
