How to prepare for CAT?

Hi Tanya, Preparing for CAT is best done with a coaching institute of good reputation like IMS, TIME and Career Launcher. You can take their classroom courses or correspondence courses to receive guidance on various aspects of preparation, sample tests, areas of improvement etc. The CAT exam largely has questions on Maths, English vocabulary and comprehension and Logical reasoning. However, if you are very busy & can not attend classes or coaching you can wish to improve your performance in English, it will help to a) read a lot of news magazines esp. on subjects you are not familiar with to improve your comprehension abilities b) work on your vocabulary at a rate of 5 new words a day using them in sentences and internalizing them rather than learning a whole list of new words. c) reading books on English improvement such as those by Norman Lewis d) finding some sample papers to assess yourself from time to time during your preparation process.
