How to prepare for CAT?

I have scored 84% marks in class 10th and 80% marks in class 12th. I am in first year of B.Com.

    Basically, there are 3 sections in CAT exam - verbal ability, DILR, Quants.
    Verbal ability-
    Start reading newspaper daily to increase your reading speed and grasping power. Don't miss out the editorial page. Do proper analysis of articles on editorial page. Try to make summary of articles that you read para by para. However, reading newspaper won't be sufficient. Start solving RCs on a regular basis with proper analysis.
    DILR-
    This is one of the toughest section especially from previous 2-3 years. Not only it is tough but it also checks how quick your senses are and how good you are in selecting the sets. Therefore, the best thing to sco

    Hi,
    It totally depends on you. You are the best person who can judge yourself. If you feel that you can do without guidance of any mentor then go for it. If you feel that you need the guidance of mentor then go for coaching like CL, TIME, IMS, Tathagat, etc.

    You should have good grasp over quantitative aptitude, general English, and general knowledge. Get the study material from market, solve old CAT question papers. Lastly, join a good coaching institute for the short duration of time.
