Hi Rishav, To be eligible for taking CLAT, a candidate should have passed Higher Secondary School/Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. Structure of the CLAT entrance exam Total marks 200 Total number of multiple choice questions 200 Duration of the exam 2 hrs Subject areas: English including comprehension 40 marks General Knowledge/ Current Affairs 50 marks Elementary Mathematics 20 marks Legal Aptitude 50 marks Logical Reasoning 40 marks Things to Remember: 1. Most of the questions in Mathematics are of the elementary level (till Class 10) 2.The questions on legal, GK and aptitude are the toughest. In GK and Current Affairs test, students are checked on their knowledge of current affairs. 3.The reasoning section is for analyzing the candidate’s ability to identify patterns, logical links, etc. 4.The English Comprehension includes passages and grammar, meanings of words used therein, incorrect grammatical sentences, filling in of blanks, etc. 5.In the Logical Reasoning section- identifying patterns, illogical arguments, syllogisms, sequences, analogies, etc. are included. The key to perform well in any entrance exams is to plan appropriately and practice regularly.
