How to prepare for gd/pi?what should be my strategy for it?

Hi Manisha, In a group discussion you need to remember two important things one is that you should be noticed by the panel & secondly your contribution to the discussion has to be meaningful. If, you keep these two things in mind you will never fail in a group discussion. How you can achieve these two things. To get noticed by the panel you need to be assertive, make your chance rather than waiting to get a chance to speak and last but not least ensure that the group hears you. If the group hears you, so will the evaluator. To contribute to the GD you need to be a good communicator should know how to put forth your arguments logically for all this the only thing you need to have is a good knowledge base. For this you should read Newspapers, listen to News Channels to gain knowledge on global issues and issues which are affecting our country and its economy. If you are not very good communicator then Participate in as many practice GDs as possible before you attend the actual GD. There is nothing like practice to help you overcome the fear of talking in a GD Coming to Personal Interview in this you have to sell yourself to the admission committee so your competition is with yourself and the best way to win in personal interview is to be truthful and doesn’t oversell be what you are and present yourself in the best possible manner. Hi, Group discussion and personal interview are one of the important eligibility criteria to get admission in MBA. In group discussion, mostly the current topics are discussed so it would be advisable for you to keep track of all the current affairs, by reading news papers and magazines. For interview you it would be advisable to appear for mock interviews and for this you can take help of your friends or relative who are working. You can also get in touch with some students who are pursuing MBA, you can take their feed back regarding GD and PI. So please don't be stress full, just read current affair magazines and newspaper to keep track of all the current affairs, this exercise would surely help you to do well in GD and PI.
