Hi,
Regarding preparation of GMAT test, I would suggest you to join some good coaching institute in your city which offers quality coaching for GMAT.
These institute offers regular and weekend classes, plus they conduct mock test on regular basis.

Generally for July Intake, you need to take GMAT in July-Aug a year before for the top universities. Applying to Bschools takes almost 7-8 months and starts a year before.
