How to prepare for IPMAT.

Start the preparation 6-9 months before the exam and no specific books are referred to as the exam tests overall understanding in some areas, so one specific book may not suffice. Revise properly after your 12th board exams. Analysis and Explanation: IPMAT is the official entrance test for admission to the desiderated IPM programme after 12th. IPM is an integrated dual-degree course (Bachelors + Masters) in Management. The national level test is a gateway for admission to this 5 year Integrated programme. Start to prepare for IPMAT 6-9 months before the exam so that you can make a balance between your 12th board and entrance exam preparation. You should go through the entire syllabus of IPMAT two months before the boards to concentrate completely on your 12th exams for these two months. Once you are done with 12th boards, start to prepare intensely for IPMAT. No specific books are referred to as the exam tests overall understanding in some areas, so one specific book may not suffice. No specific book can cover the whole syllabus asked in IPMAT. The key to crack this exam is to be fairly good at Maths and English. If you had Maths in your 12th, you can prepare for this exam easily. Your concepts should be clear. You should also focus on English as it is very important to have a strong base in English grammar. Improbable vocabulary is going to benefit you. Since you have gone through the syllabus once, you just have to revise. For revision take Online tests to save time and brush up your concepts. Do a proper analysis of the mock tests you have taken to work on your weak areas. Take timed tests to recreate the exam environment. Self-study might not help some students. As there is not much time between boards and IPMAT. So expert guidance will help them prepare in the required manner. You must focus more on Time, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Trigonometry Geometry, Data Interpretation, Set Theory, Ages, Series, and Unitary methods. Most of the questions are asked about these topics.

The IPMAT contains only concept-driven questions! Practise problems from Number Systems, Arithmetic Problems, Algebra Geometry and Modern Maths. You can refer to Quantitative Aptitude for Competitive Exams by R. S. Aggarwal and Class XI and XII Mathematics by R. D. Sharma Likewise, for Verbal ability, solve many reading comprehension, read newspapers and list new synonyms & Antonym, Idioms & Phrases, and Foreign Words. You can refer to English Grammar and Composition by Wren and Martin and Editorials of Hindu. Take mocks - The IPMAT tests your knowledge and emphasises time management during the exam. Therefore, taking practice exams as per IPMAT exam standards is essential, as doing so will increase your score. After giving the mock exams, carefully study the results. You can use this to determine your Strengths & Weaknesses and put more time and effort into strengthening your areas of weakness. It all comes down to practice and how quickly and precisely you answer the questions. Practice makes perfect, after all. As a result, regular practice and study are required. The portion on Quantitative Aptitude makes up about 60% of the paper. Since the questions will cover all arithmetic topics, it is important to focus on this portion to perform well. All the best!

Hi Preparation: Go through the revised IPMAT exam pattern. Read thoroughly the IPMAT syllabus 2023. Pick out your strong and weak areas in all the areas. 1-2 hours daily for your IPMAT Self-study where the focus is on Math, 1-2 RC passages, grammar, and vocabulary. Once a week, give mocks, sectional tests, and topic tests.
