How to prepare for MAT exam?

Generally, most of the students have a fear of how to crack the MAT exam? So, for cracking this, come out of any fear and pressure if you have. Always keep a positive mindset and concentrate on the fundamentals. Before going for the preparation tips, let us have a quick introduction about the MAT exam. Annually, MAT exam is conducted four times as in the month of February, May, September and December to screen the candidates. The tests are conducted in any format like Paper Based Test (PBT) and Computer Based Test (CBT). These results are considered as an entry level to get an admission in B-schools or deemed universities to do PGDM or MBA. General tips on how one should be prepared during the exam: 1. Keep yourself calm and cool 2. Improve your time management 3. Use short cut methods for solving problems Subject wise tips : I. Language Comprehension: The simple tip to score well in this subject is to read newspapers, articles, magazines and watch English movies to get a good command of English. 2. Mathematical Skills: For this subject, one has to be strong in basic fundamentals and formulas. An quick revision is required for this subject. Use shortcut tricks if it is applicable to the problem in order to save your valuable time in the examination hall. Try to practise topics related to ratios, profit and loss, SI and CI, problems on ages, etc. 3. Data Analysis and Sufficiency: Data analysis and sufficiency is the scoring subject among all the subjects. Try to focus and understand the question. Try to solve question related to data analysis such as pie chart, line graph, bar graph and in the form of tables. 4. Intelligence and Critical Reasoning: These questions can be solved by applying shortcut methods. This portion have 30 minutes only, so try to solve the questions about which you are confident. 5. Indian and Global Environment: Use youtube for remembering the long duration current affairs. Read the newspaper and the topics which are related to Indian government, business, global updates and sports.
