    Well the best thing you can do is have a good grasp of mathematics. Up to multivariable calculus is essential but Differential Equations and linear Algebra will definitely make your life a lot easier and make less stuff seem like it's coming out of thin air. Let's suppose you have the appropriate Maths background. The next best thing you can do is have a good background in first year calculus-based Physics (mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and Optics in particular). Assuming you have these two requisites you should have absolutely no problems with any introductory course. Tips to score well in Physical Chemistry:-
