How to take decision on selecting between deemed university and private University for medicine? My AIR is 146217 in NEET.

Deemed University is basically an autonomous college. Autonomous colleges have their own fee structure and are permitted to give their own degree. They are not bound to follow the norms of the University Grant Commission (UGC). The private university is bound to follow the rules regulation and norms of the University Grant Commission. Fees of Deemed universities are less compared to private universities. According to me, deemed universities are better. Admission to deemed universities occurs through AI counseling. State counseling for state quota seats (85 percent) and private colleges including Management quota seats will be conducted through the state counseling authority. For deemed universities, there will be a second round followed by a mop-up round. Now, after the first round, there is the provision for free exit (that means no charges will be deducted). And you can participate in state quota seats and take admitted there without any penalty. I hope this information will help you.
