HOW to take start for software testing

Hi,I've done BCA from IGNOU in 2004.I've total 6+ years non IT exp.Kindly guide me with the path I should take to enter into s/w testing.Currently I'm persuing MCA 4th semester from PTU. I heard about ISTQB certification.will it b helpful to opt foundation certification with no prior testing exprnc.
