    The Shiksha team has determined that the exam was moderate in character after evaluating the reviews of the applicants who took it. The reasoning and general awareness components were simple to moderate in character, whereas the technical and engineering papers had sections that ranged from moderate to tough. On October 10, 2023, the SSC JE Paper 1 was administered. It was a relatively difficult exam. The Commission earlier released a total of 1340 vacancies. As per the official notice, the vacancies are increased. Now, the number of vacancies are 1731. The exam will be held to recruit junior engineers across the several central government departments. The notification was released on June 30, 2025.
