The Academic Council is responsible for maintaining overall academic standards and overseeing teaching, research, and evaluation. It considers and formally approves the recommendations put forward by the Board of Studies and formulates broader academic policies.

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC): The IQAC works to embed quality standards into all institutional operations. It conducts academic audits, reviews programs, and uses feedback from various stakeholders (students, faculty, alumni, recruiters) to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory bodies like AICTE and UGC.

Yes, GIBS does have alumni who have earned external recognition in their respective industries, although such achievements are generally at an individual or organizational level rather than large national awards. Appreciation by companies is given to many GIBS graduates for performance excellence, leadership roles, project contributions, and successful entrepreneurial ventures. Many alumni in marketing, finance, consulting, and operations were recognised as top performers within their organizations, while a number of them led or started startup organizations that received industry-wide visibility.
