1. Online Application Submission: Candidates must first complete the online application form available on the official GIBS Business School website. This involves providing personal, academic (10th, 12th, and graduation details), and contact information, and uploading scanned copies of all necessary documents and a passport-size photograph. A non-refundable application fee (e.g., around ₹950 for PGDM) must be paid at this stage.
2. Application Review & Shortlisting: The submitted applications are reviewed by an admissions panel. Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance, relevant entrance exam scores (CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, etc.), and other profile details.
3. Statement of Purpose (SOP) Submission: Shortlisted candidates are required to write and submit a detailed Statement of Purpose (SOP), often by answering specific questions within a given timeframe (e.g., 48 hours).
   • Purpose: The SOP helps the admissions committee assess the candidate's motivations, personal profile, career goals, future aspirations, and overall suitability for the program beyond just scores.
   • Evaluation: The quality of the SOP is a crucial evaluation component.
4. Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI): Candidates whose SOPs are shortlisted are called for the final assessment rounds, which include a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. These can be conducted on-campus or online via platforms like Zoom/Skype, according to the candidate's preference.
   • Group Discussion (GD): Candidates are divided into groups and given a topic to discuss. This stage evaluates communication skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, leadership qualities, and awareness of the topic.
   • Personal Interview (PI): An expert panel conducts the PI to assess personality traits, academic background, work experience (if any), industry knowledge, and attitude. The interview is recorded for a fair evaluation process.
5. Final Selection & Offer Letter: A final merit list is prepared after evaluating all components:
   • SOP & GD/PI Performance: 40% weightage.
   • Entrance Exam Score: 20% weightage.
   • Academic Performance (10th, 12th, UG): 20% weightage.
   • Work Experience: 10% weightage (not mandatory but beneficial).
   • Sports, Extra-Curricular, Diversity: 10% weightage.
