How would you rate the toughness of B.Arch course as compared to other courses like B.Tech, MBA, etc?

Hello! The rate of toughness is a relative index which differs from person to person. The subject which is tough for one may not be tough for other. However, people generally choose to select the course based on the public perception. So, according to me, B.Arch is easy (not very easy) as compared to B.Tech because B.Tech is a much diversified course which consists not just of Architecture but also material science and construction engineering as well which are considered as the core technical subjects. On the other hand, architecture is a particular non-diversified course. In compared to MBA, which is Masters and non-technical course is quite easy from B.Arch. So, the difficulty level of the given three courses is of very high for B.Tech, then B.Arch and then MBA since MBA is more or less a theoretical subject. But at last, it’s all relative. B.Arch is a course for students who want to make their career in the architecture field. In B.Arch, students have to design, create as main part of this course is drawing so which is not possible for every student, so B.Arch is quite tough as compared B.Tech. B.Arch is only for those students who have good physical stamina, patience, responsibility, creative thinking and drawing skills. In the 5-year course, students mainly have to focus on design, sketching perfectly and getting ready to make a huge surprising architect. B.Arch students have to think about the design which is different from all other designs and the design must look decent that's why creativity is at the top in B.Arch course for becoming successful in this field. B.Arch graduate mainly works in the field of design supervision and implementing these design. Architecture is one of the most sought jobs nowadays.

Both, B.Tech and B.Arch are very good course. But, you have to choose one according to your interest as well as your performance. B.Tech is Bachelor of Technology, it mainly deals with technology field. If you are strong in mathematics and physics, then you may choose it as your career option. You have to study totally based on technology. B.Arch is Bachelor of Architecture, it is also related to technology, but mainly it deals with designing part of architecture. To become a good architecture, you must be a good designer. If you like physics mathematics as well as designing, then go for architecture. If you become a very good architect, then scope and opportunity and will be very high for you. Now, you have to decide in which field you have more interest and in which way you want to go. The career opportunities for architects are very high, because of the boom in the construction and designing fields. They are demanded in various government and private organizations. You can work in the sectors of construction, urban planning, urban development corporations, public works departments, interior designing, etc. Architects have lots of job opportunities in architect firms, universities, consultancy companies, etc. Global market, especially in the USA, Australia and Dubai provide attractive career and jobs for architecture graduates. Architects can work in the office as well as in the construction site. In construction companies, they are working as a designer. You can also work independently and earn occupation through consultancy charges that is depend upon your skills, profile and experience. As an architect, your job in not limited to design corporate workplace rather than you have to design houses, colonies, apartments, hospitals, hotels, stadium, shopping complexes, schools, industrial complexes, etc. Government Organizations offering jobs to the B.Arch candidates, such as Archaeological Department, National Building organization, Ministry of Defense, Departments of Railways, Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Public Works Department, etc. Some other organizations also hire architects are: Builders, State Departments, Consultants, Local Bodies for construction works, Architecture Firms, etc. After completing graduation, you can go for the higher studies. You can pursue Masters degree or further studies in architecture field. You can also work as a lecturer in various institutions. You can also work with an architectural firm.

The major difference between the two is that in Bachelor of engineering degree there are many disciplines whereas Bachelor in architecture is a particular discipline. Architecture is a field where you will be dealing with the design of interior and exterior of the building. Managing and utilise the space available in a efficient manner. They do not study about the loads acting on the structure. Architecture is related to the civil engineering. The duration of the course is 5 years. Lot of imagination is required In engineering field each discipline has their own nature of work. Civil engineering has more of construction work. Computer engineering and information technology needs software knowledge. In the similar manner there are about 45 engineering discipline. The duration of course is 4 years. If you consider the difficulty level of pursuing both courses Hi are pretty much the same, as the even in B.tech in the final years you have to choose a particular specialisation and in case of B.Arch you study a specific field right from the starting. So which ever course you choose ypu would be required to invest similar time and energy.
