I am 31 years old and have done M.Sc in biotechnology. Is it possible for me to change my field to banking?

Yes, it is very much possible, since you are 31 years old and also you have experience, it'll be better for you to target scale 2-3 recruitment notices from PSU banks, but in that case, also you need to do MBA in finance.

Yes, it is possible. For that, you need to qualify the IBPS test. IBPS is authorized to conduct recruitment test for a number of banking institutions including nationalized banks. Banks like SBI and Federal Bank are still conducting their own tests to recruit the candidates.
You can apply and take the test of probationary officer and assistant. Graduation is the basic eligibility for PO post and the minimum requirement is class 12th for an assistant. Once you are appointed as Probationary Officer, you can become an assistant manager within a short period.
