I am 38 years old and have done Masters in political science with 54% (SC). Can I apply in NET for assistant professor?

    No, the upper age limit for NET exam is 30 years.

    Hi,
    You can apply as there is no upper age limit for applying for assistant professor. A minimum of 50% is required for SC/ST category and you have scored 54%. So, undoubtedly, you can apply for this post. Some important topics for UGC NET exam (Political Science subject) are:
    Power and Authority
    Political Socialization and Political Culture
    Theory of International Relation
    Indian Foreign Policy
    Conflict and Conflict Resolution
    Ideology Power and Interest.
    You can refer to books like:
    Globalization of World Politics (Eds.): Baylis, Smith & Owens.
    Indian Polity: M Laxmikant (McGraw Hill) (Indian Polity).

    You can definitely apply for the UGC NET Exam as the eligibility criteria is fulfilled by you. The NET Exam do not have any age limit for assistant professor exams.
