You must leave no stone unturned as you are on the brink of a lucrative career after a Mechanical Engineering Degree. In the mean time you clear your backlogs you may try to learn some software courses like CAD, hardware, software or otherwise to brighten your prospects, since you mentioned your interest in computers . Mechanical Engineering is called the evergreen branch since Mechanical Engineers find suitable placements in almost all segments of the industry. After completion of a computer hardware course or international certification programmes, you may also try for jobs in related disciplines or on temporary basis till you complete your B Tech Programme. You will then have the option to continue in the same job or switch back to a highly paid Mechanical Engineering Profession then. In case you find difficult to cope up with, you may present your self for a counselling session with a competent counsellor.
