I am 72 years old and completed my M.Sc Organinc Chemistry in 1976. Can I appear for CAT to join an MBA program?
I have around 30 years of experience in Sales/Marketing in pharma industry.

Yes, CAT would also take you to an MBA, and there is no upper age limit with regards to applying for CAT or MBA admissions. Many business schools in India, including IIMs, accept candidates with very different backgrounds and work experience, even those having worked for quite some time, such as in pharma sales and marketing.
With that much time spent in sales and marketing, your profile could really be a strong asset to your MBA application.
