I am a 12th standard student. Which one is better among medical and engineering for a bright future?

I have a quite fair score in 10th and 11th and I am hoping for a good score in 12th too. I am a biology and maths student. I opted for both but couldn't decide the stream.

Comparing both of the fields can be quite debating, still, there are facts associated with both. Firstly, don't think about how much years you are going to invest in medical, but go for your passion. Now, you will ask, how? As you are confused about your passion, right?
Go for the subject, you think, you can grasp easily. If you are taking more time to understand then you won't be able to do well in upcoming competitive exams. Don't think that you can crack AIIMS easily, every other guy at this age thinks of himself a superior candidate. If you are afraid of wounds, then I will tell you that, I too was scared of these wounds and abnorma

    Hello,
I think you should opt for a Government Job, as it provides a bright career in which Indian Railways is the best as it provides numerous benefits to the employees.
It also recruits the highest number of candidates every year, that's why it is the most favorite career option for millions of candidates, but before thinking about it, the very first thing you must do is to check your RRB Exam Eligibility, which is provided in the above link.

If you score better in Biology than Maths, then you should go in medical field, because there are already many students in Maths, so it would be better to not be a part of crowd.
Well, then you can opt biology.
But, if you are better in Maths, then you should go for maths, because there are lots of future opportunities waiting for you.

Yes, it should not be hard for you to get admission to the University of Western Australia as an Indian student with 50% in class 12th. However, please note that it does not put you in the top applicants either. The general admission percentage requirement for international students is 50 to 65%.

Look at the other admission requirements -

  • English proficiency tests with IELTS (bands 6.5) or TOEFL iBT (82+)
  • High school Diploma from a recognised board like CBSE or ICSE etc.
  • Some course-specific subjects for Engineering programs

Top universities require a minimum of 80-90% in your 12th-grade board exams.

  • Average universities often accept students with 60-75%.
  • For highly competitive courses like Medicine, cut off is usually higher.
  • Strong SAT/ACT scores can also compensate for a slightly lower board percentage.

Countries like Germany and Norway are excellent options. Because public universities there charge little to no tuition fees.  The cost of living and education is significantly lower compared to the USA or UK. You must factor in living expenses and language requirements.
