    Hi Asim, I would say that the purpose of the M.Tech course is to give a specialized training in the field of engineering. Quite a few institutes intake candidates on the basis of the various entrance exams. M.Tech aspirants can apply for GATE exam as it is an all India test. The test is administered by top technology institutes. Most of the institutes also conduct a personal interview round.
    To be eligible, no restrictions in terms of age have been specified by institute. Graduates are allowed to apply for this course. They should have completed B.Tech, MCA or MSc in the any of the areas of engineering with at least 60% marks in the qu

    Hi, As per your query I would say you are going on a right career path. Since B.TECH already under your belt, idea of M.TECH can be a value added advantage to your professional graph in terms of both designation and salary meter.
    M.tech is a good choice as the career scope is quite broad for professionals across the globe. One can find managerial positions in private and public sector and can also work as system analysts,developer,research and as you already into teaching career, you may further go for higher education in order to successfully reach the level of a dignified lecturer or professor.
