Dear Jayesh, You will need to complete the Diploma with atleast 50% marks in order to get into lateral entry 2nd year admission into LPU !
This year the lateral entry is being done on merit, next year the policy will be declared by university beforehand. LPU has been ranked among top 100 universities overall and top 80 engineering organisations as such by NIRF, even by ATAL (MHRD)Rankings, it has been ranked among the top 25 band A universities. Hope this helps

    Hi Jayesh!
Yes, you can take admission in B-Tech 1st year. As per the eligibility criteria of IIT JEE, the candidates who're pursuing diploma and wish to take admission in top B-Tech colleges of the country might appear in JEE Main 2018 (https://www.eduncle.com/jee-main-exam) to fulfill their dreams.
Well, if you qualify JEE Main 2018 exam, you can go for the Top NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and Private Colleges of India.
Please go through the link to check out its detailed eligibility criteria.

B.Tech lateral entry admission is possible only after you have completed Your Diploma in engineering. Candidates who have completed their engineering Diploma programs can apply for the B.Tech Lateral Entry programs. In most engineering colleges, there's a reserved seat for lateral entry. As per my knowledge, LPU also offers a lateral entry programme. Moreover, 800+ companies that recruit from IITs and NITs also recruit from LPU. Over the last three years, Cognizant alone has recruited 1900+ students from the LPU campus and has been titled with the Most Employable Students consecutively twice in a row by India's top talent company Aspir

Yes, with a CGPA of 7.14 in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and a GRE score of 303, you are eligible to apply for M.Tech at Lovely Professional University (LPU).

LPU primarily admits M.Tech students based on:

  • A relevant B.Tech or equivalent qualification (which you have),

  • Its own entrance exam LPUNEST, which also serves for scholarship consideration.

While GRE is not mandatory for admission at LPU, having a GRE score of 303 reflects your academic seriousness and may strengthen your profile. However, to secure admission and be considered for scholarships, you should appear for LPUNEST unless LPU explicitly waives it based on your GRE (which y
