i am a applied artist student 2nd year degree...i wanted to opt out and do a job..please provide me with the necessary info and suggestions?

i have heard that in our art field the portfolio and skill matters more than the degree..is it so? if not wat is the difference n y? i am a private 4year diploma holder in Fine arts...after wch am into Applied arts 'DEGREE' and its my 2nd year here..i really want to opt out..so what do u suggest?

you are right. except for a job in teaching, no one else would bother for a degree. some companies may skill subscribe to old world thinking but most do not.
