For a better score in B.Sc, focus on the university syllabus only. It is very important to stay motivated and focused during 3 years of degree as toppers are not made by one semester or year's score. You need to be consistent with the score in all seems. Secondly, even if you decide to go for some exam like JAM JEST for further studies, do not skip college or classes. Be regular and ask questions of the professor. Do not sit in class being an anyone. Be in the good books of teachers and college staff.

For a good score, strictly follow your syllabus and see previous year question paper and observe the pattern of exam and the topics which are frequently covered and lay stress on these topics. And regular study will really help you to get good marks.
    Good luck.
