I am a B. Tech 3rd year student and i wish to go into the civil services in the future. Can someone please tell how to prepare for it?

I am a Computer Science (3rd Year) student. I have tried many times to understand the structure of the exam, but have failed. I would be very thankful if someone could very clearly guide me about the exam pattern, subjects to choose and all.and how to start preparing from now itself.
