I am a BBA 4th semester student. I am pursuing it through distance mode from SMU. Will it create any difficulty to get admission in IIM?

Yes. In my knowledge, IIMs consider only full time, regular bachelor's program and not the distance programs.

But there is no mentioning anywhere either on IIM CAT website or either of the iim's website that they dont accept distance degrees. They only mention graduation from a recognized college. Can I know your source on which you are saying this? Coz most people I've asked this they say that iim's accept
