I am a BE(E&TC) working in PLC Automation field since 4.6 years. Now i Wanted to switch to Embedded Field,what should i do ?

Which steps should i take to switch in Embedded Field.? from where i should i Start & how i can utilize my current knowledge in Embedded Field. I Have all theoretical Knowledge of Embedded System Design & Software Programming , but i never did it practically. Please give me some advise.

For switching to Embedded system, you need well versed in system programing with C, C++ Java. as you told you are working in PLC Automation, so that do some your own projects and add it in your CV you may get opportunities well.
