    I have done my engineering from IT branch. It's all up to you, you can opt for any branch whichever you have interest in. But, yes, let me tell you one fact, that most of the college these days are making all the student (EC/EE/IT/CS) sit for the same IT companies only. So, you'll find many electrical or electronics student working for an IT based company because the college is not providing them with the opportunity to work in an EC based company.

    I'll prefer you to opt for the Electronics and Electrical engineering as this is the best branch that will have the awesome future and will be in the great demand as more and more electronics companies are setting up their manufacturing plants in India.
