In order to pursue a career as a dentist in India, you have to have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) as major subjects in your 12 th standard. However, being a student of commerce, you cannot directly submit the application to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, as it presupposes the science-based education and a qualifying mark during the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination.Your course would be to re-emerge in your 12 th examinations with PCB subjects (perhaps an open school such as NIOS) and then to try NEET. You can only get admission in BDS after meeting these Science prerequisites.
