I am a Diploma student. Do I need to give LPU NEST exam or I will get admission based on my Diploma marks?

LPU floats more than 250 programs ranging from Diploma to Doctoral. The eligibility of B.Tech is 60% aggregate marks in Diploma with any branch. For admission LPU NEST is not mandatory but still you can appear in LPU NEST for scholarship. LPU offers scholarship on the following basis: 1. Performance in previous qualification 2. LPUNEST 3. Performance in Sports/ Defence/Co-curricular activities 4. COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship In addition to this, due to COVID-19, LPU supports admission to his students by online mode with certain changes in process. I suggest you to visit university website or call on their toll free number for more information. The best time to do so is now before Aug 31, 2020. Well LPU has relaxed their eligibility norms already, LPU NEST is not a mandate for all programmes. Hi there, for most of the programmes LPU NEST is mandatory even if your seeking admission through lateral entry. Of course Diploma marks too are considered for eligibility. Hope you got an answer.

Being a alumni of Lovely Professional University, I would like to answer your query, As per my knowledge you are not required to qualify LPU NEST to get admission in any lateral entry programme. The University offers more than 200 programmes in Management, Hotel Management, Computer Application, Engineering, Architecture, Design, Commerce, Fashion Technology, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Paramedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Education, Physical Education, Films, Animation, Fine Arts, Due to the current pandemic situation, there is relaxation in eligibility criteria in most of the programs. Eg. For B.Tech The eligibility is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (engineering. ). (any stream) 3 years after 10th or 2 years. After 10+2 (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) or B.Sc. (Computer Science) or BCA or equivalent.
