I am a General - EWS category candidate but in UPTU councelling they given me college in both round 1 and 2 on my open rank .

My open rank was 866295 But I am a EWS category candidate. The UPTU councelling didn't gave me seat on EWS category in any of the round why?

If, as a General-EWS candidate, you were assigned to a college based only on your open rank during the two rounds of UPTU (UPCET) counselling, it's possible that your EWS certificate wasn't taken into account or that ranks under EWS were more competitive. Yes, students have to participate in UPTAC Counselling if they want to get admission through the government quota at SRMS IBS. The institute selects students on an entrance + counselling basis mainly. Unless applying through the management quota, counselling is required.

There is low chances of getting this but you are UP residence so if maybe happened that you will get admission at lower branch .
